The National Laundry was established at the Saudi Camp in Dhahran.
Cleaning operations were fully manual due to the lack of advanced technologies. Began providing services to ARAMCO departments and residents of the Eastern Province.
A state-of-the-art laundry was established in Southern Al Khobar, equipped with advanced machinery imported from the United States, making the National Laundry one of the leading enterprises of its time.
• Establishment of the National Dairy Plant in South Al Khobar.
• Initial production capacity: 476,000 liters.
• First dairy facility of its kind in Saudi Arabia.
• Reduced reliance on imported dairy products.
Started producing locally crafted ice cream, bringing new flavors and enjoyment to families across the Kingdom.
• National Bakeries founded on a 15,000 m² site in the Eastern Province.
• Equipped with modern, high-capacity automatic baking machinery.
• Achieved the “Ideal Factory” Certificate (1398 AH) from the late King Khaled bin Abdulaziz Award.
In recognition of his pioneering role in the national industry, founder, Sheikh Abdullah Salman Al Matrood, was honored with the First Class Medal of Merit by order of His Majesty King Khaled Bin Abdulaziz. This historic award cemented our commitment to serving the Kingdom with the highest standards.
• Farm divided into nine specialized sections capable of housing 3,000 dairy cows.
• Cows imported from the U.S., New Zealand, and Holland, chosen for superior breeding and high milk productivity.
• Installation of automatic milking systems capable of milking 36 cows at once in just 8 minutes.
• Adoption of modern feeding programs using both concentrated fodder and locally produced farm fodder.
The Ministry of Commerce officially certified our founder, Sheikh Abdullah Al Matrood, as an "Industrialist of the Excellent Grade". This certificate recognized his vital contribution to the Eastern Province's economy through his successful establishment of the National Bakeries and the Kingdom's first Cornflakes factory.
We launched the first factory in the Kingdom dedicated to producing powdered food products, marking a significant milestone in local food manufacturing and expanding our portfolio into new, innovative categories.
National Dairy merged with Al Reef Dairy in Al-Hassa and established the United National Dairy Co
